The World Health Organization (WHO) has added the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine to its list of emergency uses against the corona virus.
Its director general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said the production process needed to be accelerated if the vaccine was to reach all countries.
Meanwhile, India has decided to supply 500,000 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca injection manufactured at Serum in Pune, India to Canada.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to a request from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Accordingly, the first batch of vaccines is scheduled to be shipped this month, the Executive Director of Serum said.
According to Indian sources, the Indian Prime Minister has already taken steps to vaccinate troops in Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and neighboring countries.Leave a comment
