US troops to leave Iraq by end of year - Joe Biden

President Joe Biden has said that US troops will withdraw from Iraq by the end of this year, but will continue to train and advise the Iraqi military.

The announcement follows talks at the White House between President Joe Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Qadimi.

With 2,500 U.S. troops currently in Iraq, they are fighting ISIS. Are carrying out operations against terrorists.

In an effort to help the country, it has decided to keep the number of US troops at bay.

The US presence in Iraq has become a major issue since the US drone strike in the capital, Baghdad, last year killed a top Iranian general and the leader of a pro-Iranian Shia Muslim militia.
