Ship internationals resume after a 16-month hiatus

International shipping will resume from the UK on August 2 after a 16-month hiatus.

The British government has said that those who are fully vaccinated in the United States and the European Union do not need to be isolated when it comes to British ports.

In the UK, this is part of a plan to ease isolation rules for US and EU visitors.

Travel agencies, hotels, tour guides, port operators and other companies are all benefiting from the resumption of travel, an industry body said.

Domestic flights are allowed to operate from May. But international travel is banned.
