NORWAY : The opposition Labor Party has won the general election in Norway.
The prime minister has conceded defeat in the by-elections, paving the way for a central left-wing coalition government.
Labor leader Jonas Kahr, who has declared “we have won”, will try to form a coalition government.
The Labor Party has won 48 seats in the 168-seat parliament.
In this case, it will negotiate with the left parties to form a coalition.
The Norwegian oil industry and climate change were the focus of the election campaign.
It is noteworthy that the Green Party campaigned to halt production for a few years to reduce the country’s carbon emissions, as Norway’s largest export is oil.
