UNITED KINGDOM : The number of Covid-19 test sites is increasing across the UK.
To support the expansion of the daily testing program, 1,200 new sites will be added to the 800 already in operation.
The government has said the expanded program will now include people working in prisons, security, communications, aerospace, fish and HMRC.
New test sites have been set up to ensure that critical services are not disrupted.
The changes come following a meeting of senior cabinet ministers chaired by Michael Cove.
The government announced last week that individuals in key roles such as police, fire and border guards would go for daily side-by-side checks instead of being isolated.
Emergency service personnel and other critical personnel, including transport, freight and tow, are already eligible for the COVID-19 test site.Leave a comment
