Joe Biden gets booster covid vaccine

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have received the booster covid vaccine.

Both received the Pfizer-Biontech booster vaccine at the White House yesterday (Monday).

Before getting vaccinated, he commented, ‘We need to vaccinate everyone to defeat this epidemic, save lives, keep our children safe, open our schools and improve our economy.

So, please do the right thing. Please get these vaccines. It can save your life and the lives of those around you. ‘

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last week backed up the booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine for people over 65.

In addition, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recommended that high-risk frontline workers in some industries receive booster vaccines.

The World Health Organization has urged the Biden administration to provide more vaccines to developing countries before giving a third vaccination to U.S. citizens.

But Biden rejected criticism from the World Health Organization and other health experts.

Biden urged more Americans to be vaccinated as there has been a recent increase in infections associated with the highly contagious delta type.
