Ford to recall more than 200,000 vehicles with technical malfunction

Ford has announced the recall of 274,737 vehicles with problems with airbags and tires in Canada.

The motor company has confirmed that nearly 2.6 million Ford vehicles will be recalled in North America due to complex airbags and tires. As a result, 274,737 vehicles are being recalled in Canada.

Disorders have been found in the 2006-12 Ford Fusion, 2007-10 Ford Edge, 2007-11 Ford Ranger, 2006-11 Mercury Milan, 2006-12 Lincoln Sapphire MKZ and 2007-10 Lincoln MKX.

There is a calcium sulfate dehumidifier in the airbags. It will decompose after prolonged exposure to high humidity and temperature.

This can lead to air bag rupture. This can cause serious injury or death.

Nonetheless, the company says it has not received any reports that an airbag with calcium sulfate dehumidifier has decomposed.
