China's vaccine approved - WHO announcement

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced yesterday that the Chinese government-owned pharmaceutical company Sinopharm has approved the corona vaccine for emergency use.

Also, this is the first time that the World Health Organization has approved emergency use of a Chinese vaccine for an infectious disease.

In addition, the Chinese vaccine has received the first recognition for the corona vaccine developed outside the Western world.

The Sinopharm vaccine, which is already in use in China and some of China’s allies, now has the opportunity to be distributed to other countries with the approval of the World Health Organization.

In addition, there is an opportunity to include the Sinopharm vaccine in the Covax program, a global program that provides vaccines mainly to poor countries.

Meanwhile, Pfizer Biontech, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson vaccines and Moderna corona vaccine were approved by the World Health Organization last week.
