Apple launches iOS 15 for post-epidemic life

Apple unveils iOS 15 at its annual global developer conference, with new features for the new life coming as the world begins to get rid of the plague, including video call updates from FaceTime and digital keys from Apple Wallet.

At FaceTime, Apple has given users new options to watch a movie or listen to music together, even during a call. Introduces a new grid view to better view every face during a call. Android and Windows users can now join FaceTime calls.

“Right now we’re all using video calling for a lot of work,” said Craig Federigi of Apple’s software engineering division.

Apple is introducing its Wallet updates, which allow users to unlock everything from their home to hotel room with digital keys. It also says it will make it easier for users with digital updates to keep everything from wallets to IDs and driver’s licenses in digital form.

These features were announced at the keynote address at Apple’s annual global developer conference, and iOS 15 will be available to the general public by the end of the year.
